What are the first steps to becoming a client?

You need to call the shop and speak with a staff member. We will need to call your Vet to get shot records. Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper/Parvo. All dogs that attend Daycare and Boarding need to be Spayed or Neutered.

Can I just bring my dog to daycare?

After registration, you’re ready to schedule your dog’s first day of daycare. On their first day, we ask that you drop your dog off with us between 7:30am and 9am. We require one-on-one time with our staff member so reservations are required. After the first day of day care you can drop off your dog during normal business hours without a registration. We’ll spend time getting to know your dog and will introduce him/her to our play areas slowly throughout the day. Keep in mind that dogs who show signs of aggression toward people or other dogs will not be approved to participate in group play.

What are the requirements for participating in dog daycare?

All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations for Rabies (1 or 3 year), Bordetella (every 6 months), and DHLPP. If your dog is nearing his due date for vaccines, please remember that Bordetella vaccines must be given at least 48 hours before arriving. The following are also required for dog daycare participants: Puppies must be at least 16 weeks old. (and have at least 3 rounds of boosters and a negative fecal exam) Dogs must be spayed or neutered. They need to be on a flea/tick prevention and be flea-free upon arrival. If we find flea/ticks on your dog you will be charged for a flea/tick bath.

What are the pickup and drop-off hours for daycare?

Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:30pm. There is no daycare on Saturday or Sunday.

What do I need to bring for Boarding?

Food…your dog will want to eat his/her food from home so they don’t get an upset stomach by eating new food. We ask that you bring food from home in individual bags or a sealed container (no open food bags). If your dog needs food or runs out we have some for $5 a day. Please bring any medications your pet may need – we administer medication at no additional charge.

Do I need to make reservations for Boarding?

Yes. We highly recommend you make reservations. Especially during major holidays and weekends.

What will my dog be doing during day care and boarding?

Your dog will be involved in off-leash playtime with other dogs and Staff Members. They will enjoy inside/outside play with toys and friends and get an afternoon treat. He/she might take a nap or two with all the playing being had. Our boarders get a morning break for breakfast in their rooms, two one-hour “quiet time” breaks during the day, and boarders have dinner in their rooms at 6:30pm. Everyone gets a bedtime potty break at 8pm, and lights-out is at 8:30pm

What if my dog is old, cranky, or has a health condition?

Every pet’s age, health conditions and advisories are noted on his/her chart. Staff members are informed of dogs who may need extra breaks, medicines, or who aren’t playful like some young dogs. Oftentimes older pets do enjoy the company of other dogs but would prefer watching them from a private cozy spot. Or if you think your dog would do better in a Vet facility we can offer some suggestions for you as well.
